When everything else fails crafting is your ticket out. Today I spent some time working on a baby lamb mobile for my friends little boy. Even though the black sheep came out looking more like a black cat I still think it looks pretty cute.
What’s next on your spray paint list ?
I don’t know about you but as I DIYer at heart I have a long list of things to try out and make. So when nothing else but Vaseline helped me with my dry lips I knew it is time to cross one off from this list. Besides carrying around a big pot of Vaseline and whipping it out around a town to get my lips nice and smooth was just plain awkward.
1.Put Vaseline and a piece of lipstick in your small container. 2.Pop it in the microwave. I gave mine 1 minute in there.
3.Mix it together.
4.Leave it to cool down and set in the fridge. I left mine for overnight.
Nice and small to carry around plus wearing it gives a nice pop of color to my oh so pale face.
What have you crossed of your DIY list lately?
Enjoy your weekend!
If this is not your first time around this little place of mine you already know that I love me some makeovers. I love the feeling of making something pretty or cool out of tired things, to give them new life. It excites me like nothing else.
My escape from daily worries. That was what happened today. I was feeling ill all day long but still decided to make something when I got home. I found a pair of old broken earrings and one of my favorite denim shirts and it seemed to be a great idea. So I simply sewed the earrings onto the collar to create a little spark. I am thinking maybe to cover the earrings with transparent nail polish to keep its color when washing. I feel really happy with the outcome! What do you think?
Hope something has inspired you today!
I had this cute piece of fabric and I had big plans for it. I also had to face the facts and tell to myself that I am not as awesome in sewing to make these big plans come true yet. So I tried to find other ways to incorporate it into my little nest and came up with an idea to spice up my plain bathroom with it.
When we moved in I bought some very cheap shower curtains for a shop similar to dollarstore. I think they cost about 1,50 euros each and were just as thin as cheap. Now since I had one of those left I thought it would be perfect to use for this DIY.
Down here you can see how it looks on both sides.
I think it is pretty good for a transitional shower curtain – well this is what I like to think as I’m waiting anxiously for us to have our own place.
What have you done to spice up your place lately?Hope this Monday will not be too blue for you!
In the midst of a cleaning marathon I decided to amuse myself with a tiny craft idea.
I covered this old chai latte tin with some advertisements from a really old Grazia magazine.
I attached it with some glue at first and finished it of with transparent sticker to give it this glossy and durable top coat.
Hope you are having a crafty weekend!
