Pimp my rain boots

Since the spring is decided not to come to our town and I am tired of wearing my winter boots I altered my rain boots while I felt I will be using them for couple of weeks to come.

To begin with I had these cheap leopard print wellies. I didn’t think of them much but I had them around just in case.

I used a hole buncher to have the holes for the ribbon to go through but since the ribbon was much wider than the hole I made two holes under one another to give the ribbon more space.

Better than nothing

Image

It’s already Thursday and here’s my almost-ready first project of this week, still better than nothing I say! I still need to find a product to cover the paint, cuz right now they simply can not be cleaned without washing the paint off. But i was eager to share my new red babies anyway.

I like that there’s still a hint of those darker lines.

At first I covered the white bordering with red paint too, aswell the bow’s, but that looked too plain. At the same time I didn’t want to go back to white, I removed some of the paint with nailpolish remover, so that they would have a little bit, bleached, worn out look.

Any ideas for covering?

Chain of a fool

Fool, cuz this was my first time having fun with a chain and ribbon. So I tried two simple but different styles in one bracelet. I don’t know why I never did it until now. I guess there’s just alot of things I need to try out and faster. Picked a light yellow ribbon to work with, cuz it was just so lovely sunny day and I felt like summer is coming, nevermind the snow. So all I needed for this project was 50 cm of a black chain and a little bit longer yellow ribbon. Since I love having tiny bows everywhere, I didn’t even think about having anything extra for attachment.
