If this is not your first time around this little place of mine you already know that I love me some makeovers. I love the feeling of making something pretty or cool out of tired things, to give them new life. It excites me like nothing else.
My escape from daily worries. That was what happened today. I was feeling ill all day long but still decided to make something when I got home. I found a pair of old broken earrings and one of my favorite denim shirts and it seemed to be a great idea. So I simply sewed the earrings onto the collar to create a little spark. I am thinking maybe to cover the earrings with transparent nail polish to keep its color when washing. I feel really happy with the outcome! What do you think?
Hope something has inspired you today!
I’ve used to be such a junkie for big earrings, but this obsession has faded, now I’m all about tiny shiny studs and statement necklaces. Here’s what I got myself today. And might I add they were a bargain!
Hello all you beautiful people! Today afternoon I decided to make myself a new party clutch. I have struggled recently having something small to where I can put my phone, cards and a lip gloss and go.
For this project I used an old pure I hadn’t really ever used and an old broken brooch.
First I cleaned the purse with a nail polish remover.
Then I inserted the the pin of the brooch underneath the original badge and attach the other side of the brooch with a hot glue gun (how in the world did I manage to live so far without a hot glue gun?!?).
And then I waited until it was cooled down.
And now I am looking for an event to wear it to!
Take care guys!
This is my first autumn wishlist. For some reason I feel all black things pulling me closer like a magnet. Never before I have been so hooked with it.
Finally I can feel the spring arriving – days are longer, sun is shining, birds are singing, my mood is rising and new cute shoes are finding their way to my wardrobe.
Polka dot denim is on the rise so I decided to make myself one piece aswell. I din’t go as full on as the trend goes right now, I gave it a little twist of my own.
For this easy project I used acrylic paint, a pencil and a denim jacket of course.
This summer I’m all about shorts and here’s one pair I made out of a weird length trifted pants. Super light and comfy!
I also made these white denim ones out of old and bit big jeans, I used for measuring here. Got to love bleach.
A cute colourblock/striped top, some cool fabric and a Burda magazine in russian.
Let’s make it clear righ away – me no speak russian. I’m not proud of it and I wish I would, but I was just a rebel in highschool and assumed I will never need it, reality turned out to be different ofcourse.
Anyway some of the cuts were just so cute. It will probably take me alot of time to make any of these cuz I don’t have much sewing experience, but I really want to make it happen and willing to make an effort.
All that said, here are some of my favourites:
